(500) Illegal Port Command, Unable to Create Active Connection
This sometimes shows up on the RBS Server when an endpoint tries to make a connection AND THE SERVER LOCATOR IS NOT CONNECTED and the router or firewall is misconfigured.
1) If the RBS Manager Console Application says, "Locator: Waiting For Response" at the bottom of the window, your Locator service is off. This can cause the trouble. If your Maintenance Subscription is out of force you should renew it.
2) You can run your RBS Server without the Server Locator as long as your router and firewall are properly configured. Contact your hardware vendor for technical support on their products.
