The RBS Server Locator enables you to operate your RBS Server on an inexpensive non-dedicated Internet connection with a dynamic IP address anywhere in the world.

The Server Locator service works only when your Maintenance Subscription is in force. To use the Server Locator, use your Host Name instead of your IP address Customize Endpoint Installer.

The host name is like a domain name only longer. It is made of your RBS Server’s serial number plus the domain name of RBS’s DNS Servers, like this:

7654321012.ddns.rbsnet.net

You should be able to check the IP address of this host name, and it should always match the real IP address of your RBS Server.
