Sometimes people want to run the Server and the Client on the same computer to make it easy to test the system, or to demonstrate it on a laptop. 

You can install the live software like this, too, so both the Endpoint and the Server run on the same computer.

First install the Server. Then customize the Endpoint exactly as the instructions tell you. For the IP address of your Server, use:

127.0.0.1

This special IP address always points to your local computer, even if your computer also has other IP addresses.

Now install the Endpoint on the same computer as your Server, just like you would on any computer. Then run the Server, then run the Endpoint. You will be able to do backups and restores just as if they were on two different computers.

This is a great way to learn the software, and a great way to demonstrate it to prospects.
