Can Rbackup be set on laptops to automatically do a backup when the computer is turned on?

Question: Can Rbackup be set to automatically do a backup when the computer is turned on?

Answer: Yes, you can set Rbackup to launch on startup instead of having it scheduled.

To do this, add a shortcut to the Startup menu. The shortcut should run the following command:

[path to rbclient.exe]\RBCLIENT run [backup set name]

In the above example, [path to rbclient.exe] is the path to the rbclient.exe, usually c:\program files\remote backup\

[backup set name] is the name of the backup set you want to run, (without the square brackets.)

You can use the same syntax to add a "backup now" button to other software, integrating Rbackup.
