Enable Event Logging

Enabling event logging on the Server and/or the Endpoints writes RBackup events to the Windows Event Logs, allowing you to monitor the RBackup software through your RMM solution.

 

To enable server-side event logging:

Log into the Web Console with your admin login.

Go to Setup -> Properties.

Checkmark "Turn ON Windows Event Logging"

 

To enable Endpoint event logging before installation:

In the Web Console, select Setup ->Customize Endpoint Installer.

On the first subtab "Customization and Branding" scroll to the bottom of the screen. 

Set "Turn ON Event Logging" to True.

Select "More Advanced Options"

Set "Turn ON Event Logging" to Yes.

 

To enable Endpoint event logging after installation:

Use REGEDIT to edit the following registry key:

For 64 bit machines:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Quantum Tech, Inc.\Remote Backup\Settings\WriteEventLogs = "True"

For 32 bit machines:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Quantum Tech, Inc.\Remote Backup\Settings\WriteEventLogs = "True"
