The RBackup Server software sends emails, and it requires an SMTP Server to do so. In most cases, the SMTP (outbound email) server is provided by your ISP, so you do not need to provide your own. You can also use the Partner Portal's SMTP service just by selecting a checkbox in your RBS Server's console.

However, we get requests for recommendations from some clients who want to operate their own SMTP server.
