Problem: On Exchange Server 2007 or 2010, the file selections interface is missing Exchange DB-level (or database-level) node or Active Directory (AD plugin) is missing.

Cause: Endlpoint fails to get the VSS panel Writer info from OS.

Resolution:

Please follow the steps given below.

- Close the Endlpoint application. Close the system tray application, if running. (If the Endlpoint is installed as a windows service, stop the service from Services Panel)

- Open Registry Editor. (Windows: Start -> Run, type 'regedit' and hit Enter).

Browse to the registry branch:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quantum Tech, Inc.\Remote Backup\plugins\Exchange Server(VSS)

- Select the branch 'Exchange Server(VSS)' and then select 'Edit' menu and select 'New -> String Value'

Name the new registry key as "WriterAvailable" and set the value to True.

- Restart the Endlpoint software (or service).
