Who is the Service Provider? How do I find out who installed this software?

Sometimes someone other than the Online Backup Service Provider works on an end user's computer and finds the RBackup Endpoint software running, and has questions about it.

Remote Backup Systems cannot support the end users of our customers. So, you have to find out who the Service Provider is and ask him to support you. If the software has not been branded, you have to dig through the registry to find the server's serial number.

Use Regedit (AT YOUR OWN RISK!) to get the value of the key:

HKLM\Software\Quantum Tech, Inc.\Remote Backup\Serial

If the value is there, write it down and contact Remote Backup Systems. We can look up the serial number and tell you who the Service Provider is. If the value is NOT there, the software is too old and we will not be able to find the Service Provider.
