How do I (or must I) choose a port number?



RBackup uses port 2774 by default. This is an Registered Port Number assigned to Remote Backup Systems' RBackup. It is usually clear.

You can change the port number if you like. Some people use port 443 or 80, as long as they don't conflict with any other service. RBackup's own Web Console uses port 80.
