The RBS Client (Endpoint) software can be customized and branded with your own company name and logo, and 452 other features. You can do this yourself using standard software tools that are shipped with the RBackup software. There is no charge for branding the Client software if you do it yourself. RBS can recommend consultants who will brand your Client for you.

The opening screen, the Splash Screen and the About screen are standard bitmap files (.bmp) which can be modified using any graphics editor. You can include your own logo and company name and other text.

You can also change the default icons and graphics that display inside the Endpoint software. These are the graphics that show up on the System Tray, on the Captions of the screens, and within the screens. You can even insert your company name and logo into the title bar, and add your own License Agreement for your client to authorize during installation.

Likewise, you can edit the Endpoint's Help File using any Help editor. The Help file is in standard Windows Help format (.hlp)

RBS intended for the Endpoint software to be branded as your own. So, we purposely left out references to our company. Your customers will see it as YOUR software, not ours.

You can remove all references to our company except the opening copyright, displayed in 4 point black text on the bottom line of the splash screen, "Copyright (c) 1987-20xx RBS Inc" and from the license agreement, which our lawyers will not let us edit.

Some of our component files have been digitally signed with our Class 3 Code Signing Certificate, for security reasons, and to make sure viruses can't attach to the software you deploy. The name of our holding company is displayed in the certificate. If you want to replace that with your own name you can buy your own Code Signing Certificate, and your RBS Server will use it to re-sign all of your components.
